Our 11th WINTER SHORTS FEST will be held a day after the 43nd César
Ceremony, France’s annual celebration of cinema, organized by the French
Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques. The French Oscars, the César, are
named after French sculptor César Baldaccini who created the trophy.
Held on SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 2018, 7pm, at the Crest Theatre, the 11th Winter
Shorts Fest will feature the 9 SHORTS nominated for a 2018 César in the
ANIMATION (4 films) & LIVE ACTION (5 films) categories.
After the screening, the audience will be invited to vote to choose the
“Sacramento César Awards” for the Best Animated and Live Action shorts. The
actual César winners will be announced at the end of the evening, along
with the results of the Sacramento voting.
*Our French Bar, serving wine and champagne cocktails,will be open from 6pm
and all evening long*.
All bar donations benefit the Sacramento French Film Festival. Enjoy a
drink while supporting your favorite Sacramento event!

On Friday, March 2, 2018, the French Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques
