*BEING 17 (Quand on a 17 ans) André Téchiné, 2016 - 109 min.*
* Saturday, October 15 - 2:00pm - Crest Theatre*
In French with English subtitles

Renowned director André Téchiné (*Wilds Reeds*, *Changing Times* - SFFF
2006, *The Witnesses* - Opening Night, SFFF 2007) returns with a new
masterwork. *BEING 17* is a moving exploration of adolescent sexual
awakening from Téchiné with a script co-written with director Céline
Sciamma (*Girlhood* - SFFF 2015). Damien and Thomas are French teenagers
from very different upbringings who go to the same high school but can’t
stand each other. When circumstances bring Damien’s mother Marianne
(Sandrine Kiberlain, *The Sweet Escape* - SFFF 2016, *Number One Fan* -
SFFF 2015, *9 Months Stretch* - SFFF 2014) to invite Thomas to live with
them, the young men are forced to coexist, and work through their emerging
attraction and complicated desires.

Incredibly hot sex is just the beginning of the truly remarkable and
sumptuously shot *PARIS 05:59: THEO & HUGO* by Olivier Ducastel & Jacques
Martineau (*Crustacés et Coquillages* - SFFF 2005, *Born in '68 *- SFFF
2009). The action begins at 4:27am in a gay sex club where two gay men
meet. We follow them, in real time, as they get to know each other that
night, biking, walking and talking in Paris. The action concludes at 5:59am.
*ATTENTION, this film is sexually explicit (and so is the trailer).*
