I received this from the Police (Captain Dunn) this evening. I'm not sure
if it was linked to the recent car break ins but the box cutter from Scott
Cooper's car did ring a bell. At any rate another group have been caught
and it has been good to know the neighbors had their eyes open and the
Police were vigilant and successful.

Subject: Arrest of Burglary suspects under complaint # 09-058414
Sirs,
On 06/19/09 at approximately 1129 hours I responded to the 400 block of
Marlboro Ave (D2 district) on a burglary in progress at the house across
the street (4116 Sunbury Ave. As I was getting in the area the
dispatcher gave an update advising that the suspects had left the scene
in a white Chevy Lumina with TN TAG # 680 RPJ. I then spotted that
vehicle on N. Terrace as it was stopped at the red light at Belvoir Ave.
I initiated a traffic stop on it once we got through the light and they
pulled over. I waited on backup to arrive and we conducted a felony
stop. The three occupants were taken into custody without incident.
Inside the vehicle we found quite a bit of miscellaneous jewelry as well
as a box cutter and screwdriver. There was also approximately $750.00
in cash in the vehicle. The jewelry, tools, a portable cd player and a
partial bottle of Bacardi Rum were checked into CPD Property Division
under property # 09-1902. All three suspects had NCIC hits on them for
burglaries in Catoosa County, GA which were verified and Catoosa advised
they would extradite so they were all transported to the Hamilton County
Jail. Det. Bryden and Det. Early came out and interviewed the suspects
at the Eastgate Precinct and William Jones advised them that they were
going around to different houses to try to find open doors so they could
burglarize the houses. No entry was made into the residence at 4116
Sunbury Ave today so they were not charged with a new burglary.
