I plan on attending the meeting with Carol Berz on June 4th at 2pm at 1000 Market Street.  Many of you will not be able to attend due to work and other obligations.  If you are opposed to this club opening, please send me your name and address, and I will bring a list with me to the meeting.  

I think attendence is always the best option, but perhaps a list of names will help as well.

Just and update:  

For those who aren't aware, a new club is expected to open on Brainerd Road soon.  It is located behind the O'Reilly's and will be called Millineum.  I think it's safe to say that most of us in Hilltop are opposed to this club.   Others outside of Hilltop have expressed concern as well.

I spoke to Camille Patrick this afternoon.  She is apparently the owner, or at least one of the individuals with an interest in this establishment.  She told me that it will be operated as a restaurant/bar/dance club.  It will not be operated as a teen club as originally planned.  

I have to say, I would prefer this night club not open;  however, I do feel a little better knowing it will not be a "teen club." Ms. Patrick has told me the premises will be very secured.  She told me she has spoken to Capt. Dunn and another officer, and she said there would be quite a bit of security on the nights the club is open.  I took this comment to mean private security.  

I believe Camille Patrick has already been in contact with Carol Berz, and she is willing to meet with the Hilltop group if we would like.  Apparently another group in Brainerd has already expressed concern according to Ms. Patrick, and she has offered to meet with them as well.    

If others are interested, perhaps Ms. Berz can set up a meeting with Ms. Patrick and our neighborhoods.  Since many in Hilltop have expressed concern, I think it's safe to say, we would like to meet with her.
