BTW, the very nice woman at the 23rd street clinic politely informed me that they don't help with adopting out animals any more.  She said they used to but can no longer.  So, the pup is still up for adoption.  He's a sweety!

Agreed! I'd be happing to sign something, do we know how far along they are in terms of opening?  As a side note, the pup is back in our front yard.  I took him up to their house yesterday afternoon to tell them we'd try to find a home for him and asked for the puppy food.  The young man there said he didn't want to give him away so I had no choice but to give him back... but as we were having a cup of coffee this morning we saw him bounding and bouncing after a woman carrying her very small dog.  So, we've got him again.   Thank you to Marti for suggesting the 23rd Street Animal Clinic.  :)  Please put the word out! Thanks!  Meredith & Lauren
