[Hnanews] HNA Email List Changes

Hello everyone.  I an effort to simplify things and bring everything to one
central location [the website], I have setup a new email list. This means
the old Google Groups email list is shut down and to send an email to your
neighbors you need to send the message to *hnanews at hilltopneighborhood.org*.
I have moved each and every person on the other email list over to the new
one.  The good news is that subscribing should be much easier for those not
yet on the list.

Here are some things to clarify the email lists purpose and how it works.

   - Anyone subscribed to the list can send a message out to the
   neighborhood
   - The email list is open to anyone wishing to join.  You do *not *have
   to pay dues to use it.
   - When you send an email to the email list it goes to all 50+ people
   on the list.
   - When you reply to someone's email to the list it is set to go back
   only to the sender of the message
   - Please feel free to send out neighborhood happenings and information
   (This can also be posted on our calendar)



There are also Forums but these are on the website and only.  I upgraded
them to a new software today that should be more secure and nicer looking.
Those that choose to check them will be able to see the messages.  This is a
less intrusive option of communication if it doesn't warrant an email to the
whole neighborhood.  *If you register for the
forums<http://www.hilltopneighborhood.org/forums/ucp.php?mode=register&sid=32c5021fd10bedf289426cbd0e7355ce>you
will be able to see additional private forums for neighborhood
information *(Crime Reports, Chatting, Business and Documents).  We will be
using full names for log in names so *please use your first and last name
when you register* your username.

I will be doing a website/communication tutorial at the January meeting.  I
